Metal 3D Printing
Our sinter-based ColdMetalFusion technology takes the serial production of metal parts to a new level.

Scalable, Economical, and Support Free 3D Metal
Sintering
ColdMetalFusion enables cost-effective serial production of up to 100,000 parts per year. With this process, you can:

Print freely, uninhibited by the constraints of traditional manufacturing or the limitations of direct metal laser melting processes

Rely on uniform processing that takes the guesswork out of secondary binding processes.

Eliminate time-consuming and costly post processing like support removal, heat treatment, and stress relief

Reduce waste and material costs with reusable feedstock and without unnecessary support structures
How Metal 3D Printing with ColdMetalFusion Works
ColdMetalFusion (CMF) is a proven process that’s very similar to metal injection molding but with the added design freedom and fast production typically associated with 3D printing. Utilizing patented metal powder feedstock from Headmade® Materials, this unique feedstock has a thin polymer coating over each metal particle used to bond particles together during the sintering process. Each particle is sintered at a low temperature in a SLS 3D printer, and once printed, parts go through a validated debinding and sintering process to burnout and remove the polymer, resulting in fully-metal components.

Need Metal Parts?
If you're looking to scale up production of 3D-printed metal parts, it may be time to consider an alternative to Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) and Metal Binder Jetting.

Cold Metal Fusion
Our sinter-based ColdMetalFusion (CMF) technology takes the serial production of metal parts to a new level. CMF is a innovative metal 3D printing process which combines high-throughput laser sintering with established powder metallurgy processes to deliver metal components with exceptional performance, repeatability and precision.

Exceptional Green Part Strength
Unlock a wider range of post-processing options—including smoothening, tapping, milling, and blasting—even for materials that are typically challenging to work with. With dramatically reduced scrap rates, seamless automation, and the ability to produce delicate, durable structures, the CMF process chain delivers significant cost savings and empowers innovative design.
P3 Additive is a pioneering metal 3D printing company, leveraging ColdMetalFusion (CMF) technology to deliver scalable, cost‑efficient, high‑performance metal parts for industrial applications.
